Our mission is to help our clients succeed in
business and life by serving as problem solvers. No matter what the
client problem (opportunity) may be, we devote ourselves to finding a
suitable solution. Oftentimes, we provide the solution directly and
when required, by way of another professional or service provider,
whose talents are more suited to the circumstances. This allows our
firm to offer comprehensive client services that are more comparable to
larger firms than local firms.
Our History
Gibson & Carden is the successor firm of a
public accounting firm started by our Senior member, Mack Gibson in the
early 60's. Starting from a small storefront operation with 2
employees, Mr. Gibson steadily grew the firm to include three partners
and 10 staff in 1980. On June 1, 1980, Mr. Gibson added to the firm by
merging the practice with that of Jerry Carden, thus creating the
present-day firm, Gibson & Carden. The firm now includes 7 equity
Members and nearly 20 staff associates, working from offices in Troy
and Luverne, Alabama.
Our Market Area
While we are concentrated in a 150-mile radius of
the Alabama Counties of Pike and Crenshaw, we serve clients from
outside our core area. The firm has clients who live or work in
approximately half of the 48 contiguous states, as well as a handful of
foreign jurisdictions.
